LEGO 2015 Sets Now Available for Order Online!

I feel like I’ve been talking about the LEGO 2015 sets for eternity now. But just talking about my favorite upcoming sets and not being able to buy them (or at least pre-order them) has definitely been wearing my patience thin. But relief has arrived! Dozens of 2015 LEGO sets are now available for order online, including the 2015 LEGO Star Wars sets, LEGO Movie sets, LEGO DC Super Heroes sets, LEGO Bionicle Sets and more!

Over the weekend I happened to run a search on Amazon to see if any of the Fall 2014 LEGO Star Wars sets I was missing were on sale yet for a really great price (they weren’t). Instead, what caused my eyes to light up was the very first posted pre-orders for almost all of the LEGO Star Wars 2015 sets!

I’ve heard a grand total of zero reported sightings of the 2015 LEGO Star Wars sets in stores, so I truly wasn’t expecting Amazon or any other online retailer to begin taking orders for another week or two.

  • LEGO Bionicle 2015 Sets
  • LEGO Disney Princess 2015 Sets (LEGO Frozen goes in and out of stock)
  • LEGO DC Superheroes 2015 Sets
  • The LEGO Movie 2015 Sets
  • LEGO Technic 2015 Sets
  • LEGO Creator 2015 Sets

The LEGO DC Super Heroes Darkseid Invasion 76028 set wasn’t listed at first online, nor was the LEGO Star Wars Rebels Wookie Gunship. However, both of those sets have been added to the list of pre-orders and are also now available for order online!

LEGO DC Superheroes Darkseid Invasion 76028 BoxI’ve had very good luck with early LEGO pre-orders with Amazon in the past (including receiving many, many sets before the release dates that they’ve posted on the item pages), so I went ahead and ordered many of the sets that I’d otherwise have to be hunting for at the LEGO Stores and other retail stores on January 1st 2015.

I went ahead and ordered about a half-dozen sets that I didn’t want to risk seeing sold out at retail on the first day of 2015, including the LEGO Movie Double-Decker Couch, the Darkseid Invasion LEGO set, the LEGO Star Wars TIE Advanced Prototype, and a few others.

Anyone besides me decide to go ahead and reserve some of their 2015 LEGO sets early, or are you hiding your time and waiting to find all of these new sets in stores next month?

  1. Hello! I’m hoping someone has some good news for a Chima lover! Do you think they’ll be releasing the New 2015 Chima sets in January? I fear they won’t because the popularity is waning in the USA. I don’t get it, the sets released so far are carefully crafted and ingenious. Anyone with any information about the 2015 Chima Sets, good:) or bad:( PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I hope to see them in January!

    • I don’t know, it seems like Lego pretty steadily slates releases of all their mainline new sets for January and July. When the sets actually start filtering out varies a little bit, due to logistics factors I’m sure, but on a pure scheduling basis they keep it pretty simple.

Haven’t seen much in terms of sightings on the new Ninjago wave either. It is kind of odd that Lego schedules these things for just AFTER Christmas rather than before, leaving the only pre-holiday availability up to stores putting stock out as soon as the shipment comes in rather than following the official release date.

      • In total agreement! I actually figured that they would put them out well BEFORE Christmas, but expectations often lead to disappointment:( I also look forward to the new Ninjago, but my fears are that the Chima line has gotten such negative reviews that they won’t release it AT ALL, vs Ninjago, which has a strong fan base and will most definitely be released. I had to order the Ultrabuild figures from the 2014 summer release from the UK because Lego decided not to release the Chima Ultrabuilds here because of poor sales of the original Chima Ultra’s. A shame, they are truely magnificent in comparison to the first release!
Anyhow, I’ll keep my fingers crossed and my email checked regularly for any sightings, oh, and make frequent trips to TRU! Thanks for the comments!

      • I did look but can’t find anything that I could purchase now…let me know, if you could, where you saw “purchase-able”;) sets. Thanks for your input, much appreciated! 🙂

  2. Will there be any gift with purchase promos on Lego.com next month that you know of? There are several SW and Lego sets my son wants, and I would love to get a freebie out of the deal. I think I saw a mini AT-DP set promo somewhere? Our nearest store is almost two hours away, so that isn’t feasible, plus I would rather order online than risk the sets being sold out in store. Thanks!
