LEGO Batman Tumbler 76023 UCS Set Up for Order!

It’s been fairly common knowledge for most of 2014 that LEGO has been “secretly” working on a huge, Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) LEGO Batman Tumbler for release in late summer 2014. It’s also been widely speculated and agreed-upon among LEGO collectors that said set would of course debut at San Diego Comic-Con 2014 (what with it being the largest superhero convention in the world and all). So with SDCC 2014 just a few days away, we just have to wait and our patience will finally be rewarded! …What’s that? Oh… never mind. As it turns out, LEGO apparently ran out of patience themselves, as the UCS LEGO Batman Tumbler 76023 set has now been fully revealed!

UPDATE 8/18/2014: The LEGO Batman Tumbler 76023 set is now available for order online!

LEGO Batman UCS Tumbler 76023 Summer 2014 Set

Really, LEGO? Really…?! You managed to keep a single image or photo from leaking out onto the Internet until three days before San Diego Comic Con 2014 can begin, and then you decided to go and spoil your big reveal yourselves by showing as all hi-res images of the UCS Batman Tumbler LEGO set now?! Color me surprised!

I’m not exactly annoyed, mind you–I feel like companies give way too much to SDCC attendees–I’m just surprised.

Batman Tumbler LEGO UCS Set LEGO September 2014 ReleaseThat said, the 76023 LEGO Batman Tumbler UCS set is looking drop-dead gorgeous, and I’m glad we didn’t have to wait an additional 3-4 days to see it makes it long-awaited debut! The gorgeous LEGO Batman Tumbler 76023 set will include 1,869 pieces for $199 US. That puts the set at slightly over 10 cents per piece, which I think is perfectly fair for a humongous licensed set like this one.

Rear View of LEGO Batman Tumbler 76023 UCS SetWondering just how big this new iteration of the LEGO Batman Tumbler is? At 15 inches tall and 9 inches wide, the LEGO Batman Tumbler is going to make every other LEGO Tumbler ever made look absolutely dinky by comparison!

LEGO 76023 UCS Batman Tumbler Interior ControlsWhile we can’t quite see all of the details of this magnificent LEGO DC Super Heroes set just yet, LEGO has released an image of the inside of the UCS Tumbler LEGO set, so we can see just how detailed and intricate the Tumbler’s interior is!

LEGO Batman UCS Tumbler Minifigures Batman and Heath Slater Joker

And just in case the vehicle itself isn’t enough to get your blood pumping, how about the pair of minifigures coming with the UCS LEGO 76023 Tumbler set: a Nolan Dark Knight LEGO Batman minifigure and a LEGO Heath Ledger Joker minifigure?!

Heath Ledger’s Joker may or may not be appropriate for the main LEGO Batman mass release line (and I’m leaning towards “not”), but he’s certainly an acceptable inclusion in a deluxe, Ultimate Collectors Series Tumbler! The LEGO Joker Heath Ledger Minifigure is going to be one hot minifigure on the secondary market, that’s for sure!

UCS LEGO DC Superheroes Batman Tumbler Minifigures Stand Batman JokerAnd as usual, the new Ultimate Collector Series Tumbler set will come with a figure stand/fact sheet display base. It’s not the coolest thing in the world or anything, but it is a nice extra–and unlike the LEGO Batman minifigure included with the set, the display base actually has the correct Batman The Dark Knight Trilogy logo on it!

76023 LEGO Tumbler from Batman Nolan TrilogyThe LEGO 76023 Tumbler UCS set is now available exclusively through the online LEGO Store and physical LEGO Stores for LEGO VIPs, and will be available for everyone else on September 1st, 2014. Of course, we’re all LEGO VIPs already, so the non-VIP release isn’t too interesting to any of us, right?

What do you think of the LEGO UCS Tumbler 76023 set, LEGO collectors? Will Batman be getting his slickest LEGO ride yet in your collection this summer, or is a mega-deluxe LEGO Batman Tumbler from the Nolan movies just not something you feel you need in your collection?

  1. does it come with a batpod feature? That would really make the set for me.

  2. I ordered this morning. I also got this on my order form “5004354 BATMAN’S 75TH ANNIV LEGO C.. V39
Item: 5004354 1USD 0.00” Anyone know what this might be? I tried to search and look but couldn’t figure it out.

  3. I just found out this set even existed. Too late as it is no longer available on the site and the ebayers are asking obscene amounts of cash for it. $200 sounds like it was a steal when it was out…. 🙁
