I just don’t have the space (or money!) to buy absolutely every LEGO item that comes out that I like, so I’m forced to pick-and-choose my favorites from a lot of the LEGO themes out there. As such, I try to limit myself to 2-3 LEGO Mixels figures from each series that comes out, and I tend to forget about one of the main Mixels gimmicks: the fact that three members of each tribe in a series combine into a larger gestalt Mixels Max figure! Although the official release month for the new-for-2015 LEGO Mixels Series 4 figures sets isn’t until February 2015, I’ve become pretty accustomed to finding every Mixels series at least two-to-three weeks earlier than expected.
Thus, I would have wagered a fair bit that the Series 4 Mixels LEGO sets would appear by the third week of January–and I would have won! The LEGO 2015 Mixels Series 4 figures are now being sold by some online sellers and are trickling into stores!

It’s hard to believe, but we’re just two weeks away from everyone’s favorite (or least-favorite!) shopping days of the year: Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday 2014! Some people (like my family) are pretty disgusted that retail sales are taking over Thanksgiving now, in addition to the day after Thanksgiving, but I’ll take any sale that I can get–particularly on LEGO sets! My cat’s had a rough week, so I headed off to Target this morning to pick up some Cheddar Delights Fancy Feast to spoil him with (he usually only gets high-quality but blah-tasting health food, so this is a real treat). Of course, there is a LEGO relevancy to this article, so stay with me here. Thursday also happens to be the day that’s favored by many Target stores for marking down regularly-priced items to clearance, so I wasn’t surprised to see some red tags in the toy department. I was, however, shocked to see just what was on sale: the 71007 LEGO Minifigures Series 12 figures have now hit clearance at some Target stores!

When the LEGO Store November 2014 calendar popped up unexpectedly early last week, one of the images on the calendar that really caught people’s eyes was a previously unseen LEGO Snowman set! Based on the lead time LEGO has on releasing LEGO seasonal sets before each holiday, it was pretty obvious that we’d be seeing the 2014 LEGO Seasonal Snowman set pretty soon. And lo and behold, one week later, here he is–and he didn’t come alone! The LEGO Reindeer 40092 and the LEGO Snowman 40093 have now been released!

Because I am absolutely psychotic when it comes to collecting, I stayed up and ordered the 2014 LEGO Winter Village Santa’s Workshop set online the night that it became available out of some irrational fear that every LEGO Store in my area would be sold out by the time I got there in the morning. So… now I have to wait. But since I couldn’t bear not getting to at least see the LEGO Winter Village 2014 set with my own eyes on launch day, I ended up heading to the LEGO Store anyway, where LEGO Santa’s Workshop 10245 has now been released!

A late-summer not-quite-Christmas miracle occurred last week: LEGO fully-unveiled the LEGO Winter Village 2014 set–LEGO Santa’s Workshop 10245! LEGO might have liked to have kept this set a surprise, but unfortunately (for them, not us) the first photo of the LEGO Winter Village Santa’s Workshop set leaked out way back in May. That photo was pretty grainy, and I’ve been looking forward to seeing the Santa’s Workshop LEGO set in all its hi-res glory ever since–and now, I finally can! The 10245 LEGO Santa’s Workshop set has now been revealed!

The last of the four LEGO The Hobbit The Battle of The Five Armies sets that’s just been released at Toys R Us stores in the past few days is none other than, well… the LEGO The Battle of Five Armies 79017 set! This is the second-biggest of the fall 2014 LEGO Hobbit sets, and comes with more minifigures than any other LEGO The Hobbit set this year!

Remember that stuff I said yesterday about how I was highly dubious that the three previously-unseen LEGO The Hobbit 2014 winter sets would be released before November 2014…? Yeah–scratch that. The past two years, LEGO released the Hobbit sets just in time for holiday shoppers to rush out and buy them! But this year, LEGO is doing things a little bit differently. While I don’t expect that we’ll see all four of the LEGO Hobbit 2014 sets released at once, at least one of the sets coming our way is going to be out in just over one month’s time!
