Fall 2015 LEGO Mixels Series 6 Photos Preview!

LEGO Mixels Series 6 Sets Revealed at New York Toy Fair 2015

Last night I talked about the only Mixels figures coming this summer: LEGO Mixels Series 5. But that’s not the end of Mixels toys for this year! We don’t usually get new sets in mid-fall, but this time we are.

Coming in October 2015, it’s the final known series of Mixels: LEGO Mixels Series 6! And not only will the series give us another pair of all-new tribes, but the grossest Mixels tribe is also back for another go: the second trio of members of the Mixels Glorp Corp tribe!

Summer 2015 LEGO Mixels Series 5 Sets Photos Preview!

41544 Tungster LEGO Mixels Lixsters Figure Set

One theme that had all of its new upcoming 2015 sets debuted at the New York Toy Fair 2015 that I haven’t had a chance to talk about yet at all is one of my favorite niche themes: the Summer 2015 LEGO Mixels sets! We’ll have two more series of Mixels before the end of the year, with the next coming in June 2015!

And lest you be worried about the new sets just being rehashes of past Mixel ideas, have no fear: LEGO Mixels Series 5 will include two totally-new Mixels tribes!

LEGO Mixels Vampos Review & Photos 41534 (2015)

LEGO Mixels Vampos 41534 & Nixels Review

Although I don’t pick up all–or even most–of the LEGO Mixels sets released, I make it a point to always pick up the ones that I like the best. And from the 2015 LEGO Mixels Series 4 sets, the single Mixel I liked the best was the Glowkies Tribe bat, LEGO Vampos 41534. As soon as I saw images of Vampos, I thought he was irresistible. Now that I have him in-hand, is this cute vampire bat everything I’d hoped for?

LEGO Mixels Series 4 Mixel Maxes Figures

I just don’t have the space (or money!) to buy absolutely every LEGO item that comes out that I like, so I’m forced to pick-and-choose my favorites from a lot of the LEGO themes out there. As such, I try to limit myself to 2-3 LEGO Mixels figures from each series that comes out, and I tend to forget about one of the main Mixels gimmicks: the fact that three members of each tribe in a series combine into a larger gestalt Mixels Max figure! But since readers asked after I spotted Series 4 Mixels in stores last week, I went back to the store to take some photos of the Max Mixels on the cases for LEGO Mixels Series 4…

2015 LEGO Mixels Series 4 Sets Released & Photos!

LEGO Mixels Series 4 Sets Released In Stores

Although the official release month for the new-for-2015 LEGO Mixels Series 4 figures sets isn’t until February 2015, I’ve become pretty accustomed to finding every Mixels series at least two-to-three weeks earlier than expected.

Thus, I would have wagered a fair bit that the Series 4 Mixels LEGO sets would appear by the third week of January–and I would have won! The LEGO 2015 Mixels Series 4 figures are now being sold by some online sellers and are trickling into stores!

LEGO Mixels Series 4 2015 Red Infernites Tribe Sets Revealed!

He who hesitates is lost–and sometimes that applies doubly to LEGO collectors. Many collectors (myself included) still weren’t totally sold on the Mixels concept when LEGO Mixels Series 1 was in stores, which has led to a lot of fans who got on-board later on lacking the tribes from LEGO Mixels Series 1. As a result, the LEGO Mixels Series 1 sets are selling for roughly triple their original cost on the aftermarket. For those who can’t afford those prices, though, fear not–LEGO is going to make sure that you too can have LEGO Mixels Infernites representation in your collection, as the Infernites return for the Winter 2015 LEGO Mixels Series 4!

2015 LEGO Mixels Vampos 41534 Series 4 Glowies

Last night I shined the spotlight on one of the two new tribes in LEGO Mixels Series 4: the Orbitronz.

But unlike the space-themed Orbitronz Mixels, the other new-for-2015 LEGO Mixels tribe doesn’t need a spotlight shined on it–or any other kind of light, for that matter–because it generates its own!

Coming in February 2015, it’s the first LEGO Mixels Tribe to feature glow-in-the-dark parts: the LEGO Mixels Glowies Tribe!

There’s not a speck of doubt in my mind as to which LEGO theme I underestimated the most in 2014–it was the new LEGO Mixels theme. I was extremely skeptical about the Mixels from the moment that they were revealed, but the oddball menagerie of cheap, colorful creatures won me over by the time the second series hit stores. And now, with LEGO Mixels Series 1 sets selling for triple their original price already, there’s no question that LEGO has a bonafide hit on their hands! And so, the surprise hit LEGO Mixels Series 4 will roll out in Winter 2015–including the all-new, space-themed LEGO Mixels Orbitronz Tribe sets!

LEGO Mixels Series 3 Sets Released in Stores! Purple Green Tan

LEGO Mixels Series 3 Sets Purple Green Tan Figures

A couple of readers wrote in last week to report that they had sighted all nine of the LEGO Mixels Series 3 sets at their local Target stores. Since those sets aren’t due out for a couple of weeks yet and hadn’t even been spotted at the LEGO Stores themselves yet, I figured it must have been some sort of fluke incident. But I decided to check my local Target stores every day–just in case. And sure enough, the entirety of LEGO Mixels Series 3 turned up at my closest Target store yesterday, including all three Green Mixels (Glorp Corp), Purple Mixels (Wiztastics) and Tan Mixels (Spikels)!

Following up my discussions of the LEGO Mixels Series 3 Glorp Corp Green Tribe and Purple Wiztastics Tribe, it’s time to talk about the last new tribe coming in the Series 3 LEGO Mixels (which, non-coincidentally, is also the final known LEGO Mixels tribe for 2014). While the other two new tribes in LEGO Mixels Series 3 have some rather “unnatural” themes (slimy boogers and supernatural magic), the theme for the LEGO Mixels Tan Tribe is a lot more down to earth. Coming Fall 2014–the spike and claw-themed LEGO Mixels Spikels Tribe sets!

Yesterday I discussed the very gross LEGO Mixels Series 3 Green Glorp Corp Tribe, so today let’s discuss an upcoming tribe that I like quite a bit more (and which, thankfully, is not booger-related). There aren’t too many colors yet to not have their own tribe, so no one is surprised to see the LEGO Mixels Purple Tribe making their debut this summer.

But not only is this tribe the color of royalty (and plums), but they have one of the coolest themes: magic! Coming August 2014–the LEGO Mixels Series 3 Wiztastics!

As of yesterday, LEGO Mixels Series 2 has now officially been released in all stores. And that means that the Mixels Series 2 LEGO sets are old news, and it’s time to look ahead to LEGO Mixels Series 3! Not to be outdone, LEGO Mixels Series 3 will include three all-new Mixels tribes of all-new colors (new to Mixels, not the world). And the LEGO Mixels Green Tribe just may be the weirdest and most random of them all, because as far as I can tell, the LEGO Green Mixels Glorp Corp figures might be… booger themed?!

LEGO Mixels Series 2 Review Jawg 41514 Brown Fang Gang

LEGO Mixels Jawg 41514 Eats LEGO Flurr

I was a little bit unfair toward the LEGO Mixels series when I initially saw the sets, so I wanted to make sure to rectify the situation when LEGO Mixels Series 2 hit stores this month. Earlier this week I reviewed the terrific LEGO Mixels Series 2 Flurr 41511 set, and today I’m going to touch on the figure that looked the second most-appealing to me in the series.

And to make up with the Mixels theme for my earlier negative attitude, not only am I going to post a 41514 LEGO Mixels Jawg review, but I’ll be giving Jawg away as well! Read on for the details…

LEGO Mixels Series 2 Review Flurr 41511 Blue Frosticons

LEGO Mixels Flurr Blue Frosticons Figure

In an ironic twist, LEGO finally managed to thaw out my icy disposition toward the LEGO Mixels theme by releasing a ridiculously-cute ice-type Mixels figure. When LEGO first publicly showed off LEGO Mixels Series 2 during the winter, it was in the midst of the period where I was still pretty cold (no pun intended) toward the LEGO Mixels sets as a whole.

Then I saw a certain LEGO Mixel figure and my heart changed completely–and now that Mixel has come home! It’s my first favorite in the line–LEGO Mixels Flurr 41511 of the Blue Frosticons!
