Yesterday I discussed the very gross LEGO Mixels Series 3 Green Glorp Corp Tribe, so today let’s discuss an upcoming tribe that I like quite a bit more (and which, thankfully, is not booger-related). There aren’t too many colors yet to not have their own tribe, so no one is surprised to see the LEGO Mixels Purple Tribe making their debut this summer. But not only is this tribe the color of royalty (and plums), but they have one of the coolest themes: magic! Coming August 2014–the LEGO Mixels Series 3 Wiztastics!

Considering that most of the themes so far for the Mixels LEGO tribes have had to do with natural elements (and slime), I was not expecting a crazy supernatural magical theme for the Mixels Purple Tribe! Even so, I get a definite kick out of the look and feel of these figures, and I’m looking forward to these more than any Mixels tribe that’s come before them.

LEGO Mixels Series 3 Magnifo 41525

First up, we’ve got 41525 LEGO Magnifo! While there’s no evidence to corroborate such, I’m pretty certain (based on nothing) that Magnifo (the Magnificent!) is the ringleader of the LEGO Mixels Wiztastics travling magic troupe. He definitely looks the most “leader-like” of the Purple Mixels triad, and obviously two magic wands are better than one!

Mixels Magnifo is a real cutie, and despite the swivel arms (they really should have been micro ball-joints), I’m already certain that I’m going to pick this guy up.

LEGO Mixels Series 3 Wizwuz 41526

*shudder* The second of the trio of LEGO Wiztastics Purple Tribe Mixels is LEGO 41526 Wizwuz. Spiders give me the heebeejeebees to begin with, quite frankly, and WizWuz’s magical powers and translucent blue tongue aren’t helping matters any. This Mixel totally creeps me out, and is definitely going to be one that I pass on when the Series 3 Mixels LEGO sets hit stores.

41524 LEGO Mixels Mesmo Wiztastics Figure

Last (but definitely not least), we have the second flying Mixel–Mesmo 41524! Mesmo (whose name obviously comes from “mesmerize”), isn’t exactly a traditional cute, but I look him all the same. He reminds me of a more bizarre version of the Pokemon Murkrow and Honchkrow, and I think his dual wizard hats on his eyeballs are super-cool. Even his claw-like goatee looks really slick!

LEGO 41524 Mesmo is another must-buy Mixel for me, making this the first time I’ll be picking up two Mixels from the same tribe!

The Series 3 Mixels LEGO sets–including the Mixels Wiztastics Purple Tribe–should be available in August 2014 at the LEGO Stores and Toys R Us stores, and other store chains that carry LEGO Mixels sets shortly thereafter. Mixels have been a huge hit with kids and collectors, so be prepared to have to fight the masses to score these figures early on.
