Fall 2015 LEGO Mixels Series 6 Photos Preview!

Last night I talked about the only Mixels figures coming this summer: LEGO Mixels Series 5. But that’s not the end of Mixels toys for this year! We don’t usually get new sets in mid-fall, but this time we are. Coming in October 2015, it’s the final known series of Mixels: LEGO Mixels Series 6! And not only will the series give us another pair of all-new tribes, but the grossest Mixels tribe is also back for another go: the second trio of members of the Mixels Glorp Corp tribe!

LEGO Mixels Series 6 Glorp Corp Figures Sets at New York Toy Fair 2015

If the blue Frosticons that I talked about yesterday are my favorite Mixels tribe, then there’s no question what my least favorite is: the green Glorp Corp Mixels! The tribe that scores higher than any other on the gross-o-meter, I just couldn’t bring myself to buy any of the Mixels Series 4 Glorp Corps figures, and I wasn’t altogether excited to see the tribe expand at New York Toy Fair 2015.

That said, the Mixels Series 6 Glorp Corp sets are more appealing, and I actually think I’ll be picking up one or two of the sets. The three new Glorp Corp tribe members are the dragon/insect-like Slusho 41550, the long-legged Gurggle 41549 and the Groucho Marx-looking, snot-dribbling Dribbal 41548. (I think it’s apparent which of these three is not on my possible buy list.)

LEGO Mixels Weldos Series 6 Sets Figures Toy Fair 2015Coming alongside the new Glorp Corp Mixel sets are two brand new tribes. The first is the yellow and grey Weldos tribe (which I had previously heard referred to as the “Constructicons”, which would have obviously been a Hasbro copyright lawsuit in the making).

The Weldos Mixels Series 6 sets will include the hard hat-wearing Kramm 41545, the steam shovel-looking Forx 41546 and the chainsaw-nosed Wuzzo 41547. All three of these figures seem wildly inventive to me, and I’m planning to pick up all three (a rarity for me with Mixels tribes).

LEGO Mixels Nixels Weldos Tribe Nixel FigureI also think that it’s worth mentioning that the large and mustachioed Nixels figure included in this set is easily the most unique and desirable Nixel figure that I’ve seen LEGO create yet! Gotta have it!

Series 6 Mixels LEGO Food Tribe October 2015 ReleaseFinally, we have the purple and lavender Series 6 LEGO Mixels “Food Tribe”, which doesn’t have an official name just yet. Each of the three Food Tribe Mixels figures will include a piece of food as an accessory, and be able to hide the food in their body as an “action feature”. No, really.

The three LEGO Mixels Series 6 sets will be the chipmunk cheeked Snax 41551, the dual-mouthed Berp 41552 (with Nixel figure!) and the four-armed Vaka-Waka 41553. I don’t find any of the members of this particular tribe to be cute–at all–so this tribe is looking like a complete pass for me.

LEGO Mixels Series 6 Sets Case ArtLEGO Mixels Series 6 is scheduled to be released in October 2015, meaning that sets will likely trickle into stores in September 2015. At this time this is the last announced series of LEGO Mixels sets, although if sales remain strong, I fully expect to see a 2016 LEGO Mixels Series 7.

How do you like this year’s final wave of Mixels LEGO sets, Mixel fans? Are you thrilled to see the Glorp Corp return, interested in either of the new tribes, or none of the above?
