LEGO Pirates 2015 Sets Released Online Early!

Just last night I was complaining that there hadn’t been any new LEGO sets released lately and I was going out of my mind with boredom. Well, the universe must have heard me and responded, because I woke up this morning to an absolute flood of new LEGO sets being released–almost a whole month early! Among the new sets that have popped up for sale weeks earlier than expected is one of the most beloved non-licensed themes of all-time: the LEGO 2015 Pirates sets are now available online!

LEGO Pirates 2015 The Brick Bounty 70413 Box Pirate Ship Set

I woke up this morning to get a friendly alert that the first two LEGO Avengers Age of Ultron sets had popped up online overnight. I rushed over to Amazon, only to discover that I was too late–the LEGO Avengers Tower set that I had been pining over was already sold out. Alas!

But wait–! While I missed the boat (so to speak) on the Avengers Tower set, I was able to catch another boat–that of the 2015 LEGO Pirates The Brick Bounty 70413 Pirate Ship! In fact, the entire new wave of LEGO Pirates 2015 sets had been listed and were still in-stock online with free shipping!

2015 LEGO Pirates Soldiers Fort 70412 BoxFor those who need a refresher, the six sets that make up the LEGO Pirates Winter 2015 wave are listed below (and you can click on each title to go to my previews of each set!):

LEGO Pirates Treasure Island 70411 Set BoxImages of the 70411 Treasure Island set didn’t surface at the same time as the images for the rest of this year’s Pirates theme, so this is actually the first chance that I’ve had to see the set. I love that LEGO Pirate Queen minifigure, which made this set (and the Brick Bounty) the two must-buys for me in this year’s range of revived LEGO Pirates sets!

70409 LEGO Pirates Shipwreck Defense Winter 2015 Sets LEGOAll of the LEGO Pirates 2015 sets are now available online with free shipping, but quantities are limited and it looks like these sets are bound to sell out fast (as in–today!). As the official release date for these sets isn’t until March 2015, this will probably be the only chance to snag them early until closer to the end of the month. If you want them early–now’s the time!

Anyone besides me decide to drop some booty from their bank accounts and order any of the 2015 LEGO Pirates sets? Or do you think that this is a scurvy dog of a revived LEGO theme (whatever that means)?
