LEGO Star Wars 2014 Advent Calendar Revealed & Photos!

Christmas may be ten and a half months away, but it’s never too early to start getting ready for this year’s LEGO Star Wars 2014 Advent Calendar set! While the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendars have traditionally been slow sellers, the 2013 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar was a quick sellout (perhaps due to the great Santa Jango minifigure). But while last year’s set was headlined by the whimsical LEGO Santa Jango, but we learned at the Toy Fair 2014 this week that this year’s headliner is even crazier–LEGO Santa Darth Vader!

UPDATE: The LEGO Star Wars 2014 Advent Calendar is now available for order! Get it while it lasts!

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Advent Calendar 75046 Box

LEGO put a lot of effort into making the LEGO Star Wars 2013 Advent Calendar feel special and unique, and the combination of great minifigures (including LEGO Kid Boba Fett!) led to it being the fastest-selling Star Wars LEGO Advent Calendar yet. LEGO must want to break their own record this year, as the 2014 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 75056 manages to up the ante with what I think is an even better–and zanier–set of LEGO Star Wars minifigures and mini-builds!

LEGO Santa Vader Astromech Christmas Tree LEGO Star Wars 2014 Advent CalendarThe main event of the LEGO Star Wars 2014 Advent Calendar 75056 set is unquestionably the LEGO Santa Darth Vader minifigure. LEGO could have wusses out and just put a Santa hat on a regular LEGO Darth Vader minifigure, but instead they opted to camp it up by having Vader wearing the whole Santa Claus getup–red cape, red coat and all! This is definitely one of the funniest and most memorable iterations of Darth Vader that we’ve ever seen, and a sure fire set-seller when this 2014 Advent Calendar hits stores in the fall.

2014 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar Luke Skywalker Tatooine Minifigure and Landspeeder BuildsIn addition to the Santa Claus Darth Vader LEGO minifigure, we’re also getting the wackiest LEGO Star Wars Astromech Droid minifigure ever–a green Astromech “Christmas Tree” Droid! As cool as Santa Vader is, I’m a total Astromech droid fanboy, so this is the coolest portion of the set as far as I’m concerned. I just love this little LEGO Christmas Tree Astromech Droid!

General Rieekan Minifigure and Snowspeeder Pilot from 2014 LEGO Star Wars Advent CalendarOther Star Wars LEGO minifigures included with the LEGO 75056 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 include a Snowtrooper, a Stormtooper with Santa Hat instead of a Stormtrooper helmet, a Tatooine Luke Skywalker, a Snowspeeder Pilot and a LEGO General Rieekan minifigure. You previously had to buy the 2013 LEGO Battle of Hoth set to get the General Rieekan figure, so it’s great to get him included in the calendar this year!

LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 Snowtrooper and TIE Fighter MinifiguresAs far as micro/mini LEGO Star Wars vehicle builds go, the set will include plenty of iconic vehicles such as the LEGO Imperial Shuttle, Y-Wing, Snowspeeder, TIE Fighter, Landspeeder and more!

75056 LEGO Star Wars 2014 Advent CalendarThe 75056 LEGO Star Wars 2014 Advent Calendar is now available for order online for the retail price of $39.99. I’ll be discussing the rest of the LEGO sets revealed at the 2014 Toy Fair in New York City throughout the next week, and you can ‘Like’ Bricks and Bloks on Facebook to have news, photos and updates sent straight to your Facebook Newsfeed!

I think this year’s LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar for 2014 might just be the best one that LEGO has ever put together! What do you think, LEGO fans? Will you be celebrating the holidays this year with the 2014 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar?

  1. Skipped last year’s because it didn’t really interest me, but definitely getting this for the Vader and Astromech droid.

  2. i’m getting it, but i’m disappointed that the snow trooper has the old helmet and darth vader has the old head

    • Should be any time now. Amazon listed the set too early and LEGO made them remove it, but it’s obviously only a matter of time.
