World of Warcraft Mega Bloks Sindragosa and the Lich King Released!

Fall 2012 Mega Bloks World of Warcraft and Halo Sets at Target Retail StoreI was pretty astounded when I walked into Target today and found a whole endcap of new Fall 2012 Mega Bloks sets–including the World of Warcraft Mega Bloks Sindragosa and the Lich King 91008 set! I haven’t seen or heard of this set being available from any online retailers at all yet, so it was pretty surprising to see the set staring me smack in the face! The Sindragosa and the Lich King 91008 set is priced at $34.99 at Target.

In addition to the Lich King set, I can confirm sightings of numerous other new sets at the Latham, NY Target including the following:

  • Halo Mega Bloks Orbital Banshee Blitz 97010 ($22.99)
  • Halo Mega Bloks Warthog Resistance 97011 ($32.99)
  • Halo Mega Bloks Versus Snowbound Weapons Pack I 97041 ($6.09)
  • Halo Mega Bloks Versus Snowbound Weapons Pack II 97043 ($6.09)
  • WoW Mega Bloks Flying Machine with Gnome Rogue 91018 ($12.99)
  • WoW Mega Bloks Goblin Trike with Goblin Warrior 91019 ($12.99)
  • WoW Mega Bloks Swift Wyvern with Tauren Hunter 91020 ($12.99)
  • WoW Mega Bloks Swift Gryfon with Worgen Death Knight 91021 ($12.99)
  • WoW Mega Bloks Barrens Chase 91025 ($24.99)

I had already purchased the Halo Warthog Resistance and Orbital Banshee Blitz sets (and you can check out the reviews in the Mega Bloks Reviews Index), but this was my very first opportunity to see the Snowbound Weapons Packs I & II in a retail store, as well as the first time I’ve seen the Mega Bloks Warcraft sets at retail at all! The World of Warcraft Mega Bloks Barrens Chase set is especially cool, in my eyes, as it includes the unlikely but awesome Orc Warlock figure as well as the X-53 Touring Rocket Mount!

There were also some very, very old Halo Mega Bloks Red Covenant Combat Unit 96919 sets on the shelf, but I have a hunch that was a mistake and Target meant to shelve the new Snowbound Combat Unit packs there instead.

This is, of course, only one new Mega Bloks sighting, but it’s encouraging to see that after the long drought, new Mega Bloks sets (and the first World of Warcraft sets!) are finally starting to trickle into stores.
