LEGO 2014 Hero Factory Sets List & Photos Revealed!

While the most classic LEGO themes like LEGO City and popular new licensed themes like LEGO Disney Princess have been gobbling up most of the headliners this week, that’s not to say that there aren’t cool LEGO 2014 sets coming out from other themes! Case in point: LEGO Hero Factory 2014! Though it’s not one of the most popular LEGO themes among collectors, the 2014 LEGO Hero Factory “Invasion from Below” line of sets definitely has some fun gems in it that are worth a look…

LEGO Hero Factory 2014 FLYER Beast vs. BREEZ 44020 PackagedTo say I’m not expert on the LEGO Hero Factory line would be a total understatement. I own a grand total of zero Hero Factory LEGO sets. That’s not to say I’m not interested in Hero Factory or there aren’t quality sets in the line–it’s just that I only have so much space and money to go around! That said, I’m always excited to see upcoming LEGO Hero Factory sets, and there are a couple of sets from this LEGO Hero Factory Winter 2014 sets wave that have really caught my eye.

The LEGO 2014 Hero Factory sets list is as follows:

LEGO Hero Factory FLYER Beast vs. BREEZ 44020 Winter 2014 Set2014 LEGO Hero Factory Flyer Beast vs. Breez 44020

My favorite one of the six LEGO 2014 Hero Factory sets is the LEGO Hero Factory Flyer Beast vs. Breez 44020 set. I love that the little LEGO Breez figure has managed to take control of the inhuman Flyer Beast, and the green figure looks rather striking atop the big LEGO Flyer Beast. If I pick up one LEGO Hero Factory 2014 set, this will be it.

Winter LEGO 2014 Sets Hero Factory Spllitter Beast vs. Furno & Evo 44021And if I were to buy two 2014 LEGO Hero Factory sets, the LEGO Splitter Beast vs. Furno & Evo 44021 would be the other one. The Hero Factory Splitter Beast looks vicious and monstrous, like the Kaiju from Pacific Rim! I wish the whole LEGO Hero Factory winter 2014 wave was composed of monsters like the Flyer Beast and Splitter Beast, because these are just a ton of fun!

LEGO Hero Factory 2014 Stormer Freeze Machine 44017 SetThe other four LEGO Hero Factory sets in this wave consist of LEGO figures piloting mech robots (again, like the “Pacific Rim” movie). These are nice enough, but unless I am blown away by the LEGO Invasion from Below monsters sets when I build them, I think I’ll be passing on these exo-suits. No offense.

The LEGO Hero Factory 2014 sets are expected to be released by January 1st, 2014, but the sets will likely hit some retailers before that official release date. You can ‘Like’ Bricks and Bloks on Facebook, and I’ll send out an update via the Facebook Newsfeed once these 2014 Hero Factory LEGO sets are sighted for sale in stores or online.

What do you think of the LEGO 2014 Hero Factory sets, LEGO fandom? Does anything here strike your fancy, or is LEGO Hero Factory just not your thing?

  1. So the heroes are minifigs this time! Interesting! I remember when Bionicle turned the characters into minifigs in order to release a handful of larger vehicles and bases, but this is an interesting twist on that where the entire wave is dedicated to figures being ridden or driven by minifig representations of characters who have also been full size figures themselves.

I got so burned out on Bionicle after a couple of years that I stopped buying them and sold everything I had on it, and therefore never bought any Hero Factory either (though the ones with the motorcycles were tempting!) but these sets are tempting me now too.
