Tired of the seemingly endless amount of licensed LEGO sets coming out? Do you miss the classic, down-to-earth goodness of a plain old everyday LEGO world, populated by yellow-skinned minifigures doing mundane things like chores? If so, you’re in luck! LEGO has just released a new set for you! It’s the LEGO Fall Scene 40057 polybag, and it’s now available for order through the online LEGO Store!

I’ve never particularly liked spring or summer as far as seasons go, but man do I ever love fall and winter. We’ve been getting more than our fair share of winter sets the past few years with the ever-expanding LEGO Winter Village sets (I can’t wait to get this year’s LEGO Winter Village Marketplace!), but it’s about time LEGO gave fall a little bit more love!The LEGO Fall Scene 40057 polybag set depicts three people (probably mom, dad and daughter) raking leaves and cleaning up the yard after the multicolored LEGO leaves have begun falling off the trees. It’s something almost everyone can relate to and it feels super sweet.

Make no mistake, the LEGO 40057 set is nothing fancy–but it is pretty cute. 40057 LEGO Fall Scene consists of 72 pieces, and has a US $7.99 MSRP. Considering that the set contains three minifigures and still only costs about eight dollars, that’s quite a deal! While the minifigures aren’t near as exciting as some of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series figures that we’ve seen released, they do have an old-time charm to them. I love the printed tops to the mushrooms in the set (quite possibly the high point of the set), and who doesn’t love a LEGO rake?

The LEGO 40057 Fall Scene set is available for order now through the online LEGO Store (and most likely the physical official LEGO Stores as well). This set is most likely a small-run that will remain exclusive to the various LEGO Stores, but I’ll keep my eye out for any sign of it at regular chain stores.
