You guys are probably going to want to put on your eyeglasses and lean real close to the screen. Yesterday LEGO finally released the long-awaited LEGO Architecture United Nations Headquarters 21018 set, thus allowing LEGO Architecture collectors a brief respite and the chance to be totally up-to-date in their collections. That break only lasted a day, though. The next set, the LEGO Architecture Marina Bay Sands 21021, has now been revealed!

Ah, sneaky, sneaky LEGO. In their latest online survey, LEGO (either intentionally or inadvertently) ended up posting a small “teaster” photo of the box for the next LEGO Architecture set–the 21021 LEGO Architecture Marina Bay Sands.

This particular selection came as a total “Wha?” to me. I thought I was fairly familiar with famous buildings and architectural achievements, but I either never heard of the Marina Bay Sands before or never cared until I heard the name in the same sentence as “LEGO”.

For those unfamiliar with it (like me!), the Marina Bay Sands is a resort in Singapore that opened in 2011. Though it is primarily a casino resort, the Marina Bay Sands contains all kinds of crazy things like a circus, an ice skating rink, an indoor shopping mall, theaters, a museum, and (get this) two celebrity chef restaurants. No, really. The Marina Bay Sands is like Singapore’s Disney World (sort of)!

LEGO definitely got the basic shape of the set right with the design for the 21021 LEGO Architecture Marina Bay Sands set, but from all of the photos I’ve been able to find of the Marina Bay Sands (both during the day and at night), I’m not convinced that the light blue color windows seen on the Marina Bay Sands LEGO set box is going to be accurate. I guess we’ll find out once LEGO releases some official news and photos of LEGO 21021! I wouldn’t expect this set to appear until early 2014 (though LEGO has surprised me before).
