LEGO Arctic Ice Breaker 60062 Summer 2014 Set Photos Preview

Just when I thought that I had discussed all of the sets coming in the revived LEGO Arctic Summer 2014 theme, LEGO has to go and muck everything up by showing off an unexpected all-new set! Way back in February I wrote my LEGO City Arctic Summer 2014 sets preview (before LEGO even officially debuted the sets at New York Toy Fair 2014), but apparently LEGO was holding out on us with one more set. Coming as a retail exclusive this summer–LEGO Arctic Ice Breaker 60062!

I love snow, I love orange, and I love that the LEGO Arctic theme that combines the two is returning to stores in just a few months as part of the LEGO Summer 2014 series of LEGO City sets! I thought that LEGO had shown us everything they had for the resurrected Arctic LEGO theme back at the 2014 Toy Fair in New York City, but it turns out that they had one more icy ace up their sleeve: the 60062 LEGO Ice Breaker set!

While most of the 2014 LEGO City Arctic sets coming out are low-priced and focus on only one type of vehicle, the LEGO 60062 Arctic Icebreaker set will be giving us a wide range of variety with a ton of different LEGO Arctic vehicles and diorama pieces! Not only does the set include the mighty large LEGO Ice Breaker ship itself, but it also includes a LEGO Arctic Helicopter, Helipad, Laboratory, Snow Plow, Radar Tower and even a LEGO Sled Dog Team of Huskies! And yes, polar bear fans, there’s a LEGO polar bear figure included for you too!

LEGO 60062 City Arctic Ice Breaker Summer 2014 SetThe LEGO City Arctic Ice Breaker 60062 set will be the second-largest of all the LEGO Arctic sets released in Summer 2014, and will contain 717 pieces. No pricing details have been released yet for the LEGO Icebreaker set, but I’d guesstimate that the set will be priced between $69.99-$79.99. Any higher than that would feel rather extreme for a non-licensed LEGO set.

The LEGO 60062 Arctic Ice Breaker set is expected to be released in June/July 2014. This set will be a retailer exclusive, although it’s not known what retailer will have the set as an exclusive yet (though my personal guess would be to bank on it being Toys R Us).  I’ll post an update when more details and specs for the LEGO City Arctic Ice Breaker 60062 set are revealed, and you can ‘Like’ Bricks and Bloks on Facebook to have more news and photos sent right to your Facebook Newsfeed.

What do you think of the last LEGO Arctic set to be revealed, LEGO collectors? Is this massive orange LEGO Ice Breaker ship bound for your collection, or is this set full of diverse variety just not for you?
