LEGO Chima Sir Fangar’s Saber-Tooth Walker 70143 Photos Preview

I talked about the biggest superstar sets coming from the Summer 2014 LEGO Legends of Chima wave after I saw those sets at New York Toy Fair 2014, but that’s not to say that there aren’t other LEGO Chima Summer 2014 sets worth highlighting! One such set will give the spotlight to the all-new Chima Saber-tooth Tribe, in the form of their first major vehicle–coming in August 2014, it’s the LEGO Chima Sir Fangar’s Saber-tooth Walker 70143!

A couple weeks ago I gave some focus and attention to one of my favorite overall LEGO 2014 Summer sets: LEGO Sir Fangar’s Ice Fortress! But while Sir Fangar, leader of the new LEGO Chima Sabretooth Tribe, has his own icy throne to sit upon, that doesn’t mean he’s content to do so. When Sir Fangar is pumped up and feeling aggressive, he takes the offensive and heads out in his LEGO 70143 Saber-Tooth Walker!

The Sabre-tooth Walker LEGO set is a weird mixture of skeleton beast and vehicle, and is one of the more intimidating LEGO sets ever devised! With its opening and snapping jaws, ice claws, ice-tipped flickfire missiles and deadly teeth, the super-poseable LEGO Legends of Chima Sabre-tooth Walker 70143 is one monster of a “beast” that you don’t want to mess with!

LEGO Chima Summer 2014 Set Sir Fangar's Saber-tooth Walker 70143In addition to the main LEGO Sabertooth Walker, this set also includes a little ice cage, a CHI crystal, and three minifigures: Saber-tooth Tribe LEGO Sir Fangar minifigure, Sabertooth Tribe LEGO Stealthor minifigure, and Gorilla Tribe LEGO Gorzan (Fire Armor) minifigure. None of the minifigures are exclusive to this set, but the big prize here isn’t the figures–it’s the mega-cool Chima Saber-tooth Walker 70143 vehicle itself!

LEGO Chima 2014 Sir Fangar’s Sabre-Tooth Walker 70143 SetI saw this set at New York Toy Fair 2014, and was largely impressed with it. At $39.99 for 415 pieces, the Legends of Chima Summer 2014 Sir Fangar’s Saber-tooth Walker set is a very fair value at under 10 cents per piece. Though I’ll be repeating minifigures I’ll be getting elsewhere, this is one of the LEGO Chima sets that I’m definitely planning on grabbing at some point later this year.

70143 LEGO Chima Sir Fangar's Sabre-tooth Walker Set Box Summer 2014 The LEGO Legends of Chima Sir Fangar’s Sabre-tooth Walker 70143 set is scheduled to be released in July/August 2014 in the United States (and a mite earlier in the UK and other countries). The set is scheduled to be a mass release, and should be available via all major LEGO retailers once it becomes available.
