LEGO New York Toy Fair 2015 Coverage This Weekend!

It’s finally here! The event that I have literally been waiting an entire year for: the New York Toy Fair 2015! Last year, I attended my very first International Toy Fair in New York City, which was one of the great experiences of my life. This weekend, it’s time head back down to the Big Apple once again, to check out this year’s big reveals and newest toys! And I think it goes without saying that the company I’m looking forward to visiting the absolute most is LEGO, where I plan on taking hundreds (if not thousands!) of photos this weekend…

LEGO New York Toy Fair 2015 Preview Event

This year, LEGO is hosting a special New York Toy Fair 2015 LEGO Sneak Preview Party on Saturday, February 14th at 7AM! And I am delighted that, as editor of Bricks and Bloks, I’ve been invited to the event! It’s going to be a pretty weird Valentine’s Day, as I haven’t been away from wife on Valentine’s Day since we were married eight years ago, but duty calls!

Beginning at 7AM on 2/14 and throughout the weekend, I will be posting every single LEGO photo and video that I can from New York Toy Fair 2015. Eventually all of the multimedia will be making its way here to the site, but due to the rapid-fire nature of Toy Fair, I’ll likely be posting to Facebook and YouTube first.

Yes, that’s right! I’ve decided to get with the times and open up a YouTube account. There are zero videos on the Bricks and Bloks Channel now, but there will be dozens of them by the end of Toy Fair (hopefully)! So if you want all of the coverage as soon as it happens, make sure to ‘Like’ Bricks and Bloks on Facebook and to Subscribe to our brand-new Bricks and Bloks YouTube Channel!

New York Toy Fair 2015 LogoThe only catch to this event is that I’m going to have a limited time period with access to the LEGO Booth to photograph the LEGO Summer 2015 sets at the Toy Fair. So, while I would probably love to spend the entire weekend hanging out at the booth and taking a treasure trove of hi-res photos and videos of all of the new LEGO sets, I’m going to have to pick and choose what to concentrate on and where to focus most of my attention and coverage.

I still intend to get photos of every set on display–don’t worry about that–but I want to make sure that I’m spending the most time with the themes that readers are most interested in heavy coverage for and want to read articles about first. So, let me ask you, LEGO fans: What do you most want to see coverage of from this weekend’s 2015 Toy Fair LEGO booth? Is it LEGO Star Wars, the final LEGO Chima sets, the remaining LEGO Scooby-Doo sets, LEGO Jurassic World… or something else entirely?

Leave a reply or comment and let me hear what you all most want to see focused on from this weekend’s event!

  1. Would love to see the Marvel summer sets, since I’ve not seen any pictures of them yet. Assuming they have them out…

  2. Well, I think you know what our fav Lego sets are! Chima of course! And my son will go ballistic over the fact that you will be getting on YouTube, he loves YouTube more than regular tv shows…sign of the times! Loikin forward to seeing some great pics AND video of the Toy Fair! And you’ll get a taste of the wonderful winter weather in NE that we have become buried under…not too sure what the temp and snow accumulation is in NYC, but here it’s 70″ fresh snow powder and average temp of 10°F..not normal to say the least.
~Have fun and we’ll be checking in on Valentine’s Day~

  4. Well, purely out of self-interest: Marvel, DC, Star Wars (4, 5, 6, 7 only), Creator, Ideas.
Don’t need photos of all those mixels.

  5. In order of preference: Star Wars, Creator, Ninjago, City

I agree with Matt Devney on nix on the mixels.
