LEGO Star Wars 2013 Advent Calendar Revealed with Santa Jango Fett!

Earlier tonight I posted to talk about three of the biggest LEGO Star Wars sets for the latter half of 2013, and now it’s time to discuss the new entry in what’s becoming one of my favorite yearly traditions: the 2013 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar! I was a little skeptical we might not see a LEGO Star Wars 2013 Advent Calendar after the 2012 calendar with Darth Maul didn’t seem to be a great seller, but the ever-persistent LEGO company is ready to try, try again with an even better set of LEGO Star Wars items for each day of advent this year!

2013 LEGO Advent Calendar with Young Boba Fett Minifigure and Santa Jango Fett

While the 2012 LEGO Star Wars calendar was primarily composed of Episode I items, the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2013 is made up of a mix of mostly Episode II and Episode III toys (most likely due to the now-cancelled Star Wars 3D prequel movies that had been scheduled for late 2013). The brand-new young Boba Fett minifigure will be able to look forward to a pretty special Christmas, as in 2013 presents will be delivered by the Santa Jango Fett Claus minifigure himself!

Along with the Santa Jango Fett minifigure and young Boba Fett minifigure, the 2013 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar also looks to include LEGO Star Wars minifigures of a Geonsian, R5-D7 (or  similar R5 droid), ,a Phase I Clone Trooper, and a Scout Trooper.

On the LEGO Star Wars vehicle front, the 2013 LEGO calendar looks to include a mini Slave-I (Ep. II colors), mini Obi-Wan’s Jedi Starfighter, mini AT-ST, mini Bespin Twin Pod Cloud Car, mini Republic Gunship, mini Zam Wessel’s Speeder, mini Geonosian Starfighter, and a mini Separatist shuttle. I find the Zam Wessel Speeder to be especially noteworthy, as that vehicle hasn’t been released by LEGO in any form in over a decade!

There are probably a few more items included in the set, but that’s all we can make out from the preliminary catalog photos. As noted in the photo, these are preliminary images and are subject to change before the set is released in late 2013. However, the new 2013 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar will likely be on display in all its glory at the upcoming New York International Toy Fair starting February 10th. We’ll add more photos and information on the sets if they appear at the show.
