LEGO Star Wars Force Friday Exclusive Brick Revealed!

We’re just over twenty-four hours away from stores across the country opening up at midnight in honor of my birthday–err… I mean, Star Wars Force Friday–and with just these few dozen hours to go, a long-rumored exclusive for the event has finally appeared! If you like exclusive bricks (and who doesn’t?), you’d better head to Toys R Us and pick up your exclusive LEGO Star Wars Force Friday brick!

LEGO Star Wars Force Friday Exclusive Brick Toys R Us

Rumors began to surface in August that Toys R Us stores would be getting an exclusive LEGO Star Wars Force Friday Commemorative Brick for the Force Friday event happening at midnight September 4th (that’s Thursday night into Friday morning, not Friday night into Saturday morning–be aware!). This sounded like a totally plausible promotion to me, but I don’t like reporting on rumors until they’re confirmed as fact.

Well–I guess you can’t get much more “confirmed as fact” than photographic evidence, though, and Instagram user what_the_brick has now posted said photographic evidence verifying both that Toys R Us is getting an exclusive Force Friday LEGO brick and also the design on said brick!

This is, well… sort of a boring exclusive, though, honestly! It’s a grey 6x5x1 brick panel with the LEGO Star Wars logo and an image of a Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens Stormtrooper and blaster on it (it’s also got dated copyright text on the bottom of the piece, if that appeals to you!).

Because the Dark Side clouds everything with regards to Star Wars Force Friday, it’s still unclear exactly how many of these commemorative bricks will be available at Toys R Us stores at midnight, and how they may be acquired. I initially heard that a very limited number of bricks would be available at that sale and would be given out to the first fans in line, but later reports say that TRU stores may have enough Force Friday bricks to give to everyone who attends!

I don’t know which version of the story is true (if either), but I think it’s far more likely that Toys R Us has tons of these exclusive First Order Stormtrooper bricks to give out than just a few. Regardless, I’ll be at my nearest Toys R Us waiting in line an hour before midnight tomorrow night, wired on energy drinks and ready to buy the new LEGO Star Wars Episode VII sets for my birthday!

If you haven’t done so already, be sure to check out my previews of all the LEGO Force Awakens sets that will be going on sale during Force FridayAlong with this commemorative piece, all seven of the sets that I’ve previewed are going to be available for sale on Force Friday (at least–until they sell out!).

What do you think of the commemorative brick exclusive being given out at Toys R Us stores tomorrow night, Star Wars fans? Will you be traveling to your local Toys R Us store for the event, a different store for other exclusives, or passing on the first Star Wars midnight opening event in seven years altogether?
