Mega Bloks Warcraft Goblin Zeppelin Ambush In-Progress Build Photos

It’s taken me a little longer to get to the World of Warcraft Mega Bloks Goblin Zeppelin Ambush photo preview due to the sheer mass of pieces and photos involved, but I’m back with some in-progress build photos of the set!

There are far too many steps and pieces involved for me to do a step-by-step photo build of the Zeppelin, but below are more than two dozen photos documenting the most critical steps of the build. You won’t exactly be able to build your own Goblin Zeppelin Ambush without using the instructions after looking through these photos, but it should give you an idea of what to expect when building and the sequence of events in which bloks come together…

First we have the Alliance Crossbow. The Zeppelin’s cannon is a pre-built piece that doesn’t require any assembly, and I had it in my mind for some crazy reason that this would be the same. I was really surprised by the fact that the Alliance Crossbow was not just a dinky build and took a few minutes to fully-assemble.

I shot myself in the arm completing the crossbow build, and it hurt like Hell. Never underestimate the power of a double-stretched rubber band.

Next up, we begin building the floor of the Goblin Zeppelin’s “ship” portion.

Well, that was boring and even a little bit monotonous. Now that the floor is built, however, we can start to add on all the really interesting parts and start to make this build fun…

Now that we have a ship portion of the Goblin Zeppelin, it’s time to move on to the “blimp” portion of the build…

The “blimp” mostly consists of two gigantic purple “shell” piece that have extensive paint applications on the outside. I’ll talk about the quality of those paint apps in the review. There are a couple dozen pieces that you add to the inside and outside of these two large shell pieces, but this part of the build is really straight-forward and simple. It’s actually a bit boring…

And now that the top of the Zeppelin looks all menacing and shark-like, we’d better create some propulsion for the whole thing, in the form of a propeller…

And–Voila!! Your Goblin Zeppelin is ready to sail out into the world and wreak some havoc on the Alliance! The “lengthy” two-hour build is complete, but is this set worth the $65-$75 it costs at retail? And just how good are the Warcraft figures included with this set? And for that matter, what ended up being in that Secret Loot bag that I photographed last week?! Tune in soon for the full review of the World of Warcraft Mega Bloks Goblin Zeppelin Ambush 91014, where I’ll discuss all that and more!
