If you’re a LEGO DC fan, there wasn’t a whole lot to get excited about at New York Toy Fair 2015. After the healthy helping of LEGO Justice League sets we got in January to kick-start the year, there are just two LEGO DC Super Heroes Summer 2015 sets coming–and both of them are Batman-related. Luckily, one of the sets is gigantic and absolutely amazingly fun–it’s the LEGO Jokerland 76035 set… with LEGO Starfire, Beast Boy and more!

I’m not nearly as big of a DC Comics fan as I am into Marvel, so even though I’d heard the biggest of the LEGO Superheroes Summer 2015 sets was going to be a huge evil carnival set, I wasn’t all the intrigued. And then I came face-to-face with the LEGO Super Heroes Jokerland 76035 set this morning at the LEGO Toy Fair 2015 booth and fell in love.

LEGO 76035 Jokerland is very likely the most fun LEGO DC Superheroes set ever conceived. It’s a huge and varied set, with fun concepts sprinkled in all over the place–along with a serving of some all-new, all-fantastic never-before-done LEGO minifigures!

For many fans, the high point of this set will be two of the Teen Titans getting their first minifigures: the LEGO Beast Boy minifigure and the LEGO Starfire minifigure.

I am totally in love with the awkward face print on the Beast Boy LEGO figure! It looks like he’s only going to come with a green snake to transform into, though. That’s disappointing. How about a green shark, a green owl, a green rat, and so on and so forth, LEGO? Ha I guess I’ll have to paint my own!

In total, the set will include eight LEGO minifigures: The Joker, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, The Penguin, Starfire, Beast Boy, Robin and Batman (plus a Super Jumper!). I believe this is the first time three female minifigures have ever appeared in one LEGO Superheroes set! Way to go, LEGO!

The 76035 LEGO Jokerland set is basically divided into a bunch of modular rides and scenes that make up one gigantic set. Individually, the portions of this set might looks a little medicore. But altogether, I think the set looks fantastic!

The Penguin’s Deadly Duckies ride is absolutely hilarious. I don’t know how anyone with a soul could not have this wacky, ridiculous ride bring a smile to their face.

Meanwhile, LEGO Poison Ivy is hanging out at the “Carnivore Fall”, a wacky “Tower of Terror”-like drop ride.

Armed with a no-doubt deadly cream pie, the Joker is stationed inside the mouth of the giant evil clown that is the centerpiece of 76035 Jokerland. That is one scary clown! (And the Joker himself is rather scary too.)

The giant clown head has a slide around the back to drop unsuspecting heroes into a big tub of acid (a la Ace Chemicals).

Finally, we’ve got the insane Harley Quinn’s Wheels of Fire ride! Poor Robin has been suspended upside-down, and Harley Quinn will be riding her motorcycle down the high-wire with Robin being dragged along for the ride. CRAZY!!

The Harley’s Wheels of Fire ride is huge, and a really impressive portion of this set in-person.

Finally, we’ve got a new LEGO Batmobile, which is sure to be beloved by fans.

This is based on the 1989 Batman movie Batmobile, so it’s going to have crossover appeal to old-time DC movie fans who may have never purchased a LEGO DC Superheroes set before. Nifty!

LEGO Batman Jokerland 76035 contains 1,037 pieces and will set collectors back $119.99 when it officially launches in August 2015. That’s a hefty cost for one LEGO DC Superheroes set, but since there are only two LEGO DC Summer 2015 sets, I think I can probably budget this one in!
