2014 has been a stupendous year for LEGO collectors, but the final month of the year has arrived, and that means just one thing–it’s time to look ahead to the January 2015 LEGO Store calendar! And as big as this year has been it looks like LEGO wants to get 2015 off to a bang and make it even better–the LEGO Store January 2015 Calendar and all of its promos and events have now been revealed!

Fans who were disappointed with the lack of many free promos the last two months of 2014 can now rejoice: LEGO has not one, not two, but three free promo sets lined up for fans to start off 2015 right!

The most exciting of the three sets is probably the mini LEGO Star Wars AT-DP 30274 promo polybag set! Collectors will be able to snag this mini LEGO AT-DP all month long with any LEGO Star Wars purchase from the LEGO Store–including cheap-o items like LEGO Star Wars keychains (and the full-size LEGO Star Wars AT-DP 75083 itself)!
In addition to the LEGO Star Wars Mini AT-DP, there will be two other free LEGO sets available with qualifying purchases as part of the January 2015 LEGO Stores calendar. One of the two is the wonderfully charming LEGO Flower Cart 40140, which I’ll be talking about in-depth later on.

The final LEGO Stores January 2015 promo set is for LEGO Friends collectors–the LEGO Mini Golf 30203 set! I’m not a LEGO Friends kind of guy, but this is a really cute set. The miniature windmill is adorable! And the best part is that this set will be free all month long with any LEGO Friends sets–even the cheapest sets and discounted ones!

But that’s not all–in fact, far from it! The beloved LEGO Monthly Mini Model Build will be returning in 2015, despite prior evidence to the contrary and being left off of the last several months’ LEGO Store calendars! The January 2015 LEGO Mini Monthly Model Build Alien is actually kind of ugly looking (no offense), but I think we can all breathe a sigh of relief that the Mini Monthly Model Build event is safe.

Also, there will be some fun, kid-oriented events going on at the LEGO Stores in January 2015, including the Detective’s Office Search and Find from January 12-18, the LEGO Friends Racing Play from January 19-February 15, and the ever-popular LEGO Club Meeting on January 24th.

January 2015 will also be an insanely expensive month for collectors, as a crazy number of major sets will be released, including the LEGO Star Wars UCS Slave-I, the LEGO Detective’s Office Modular Building, the LEGO Frozen Elsa’s Ice Palace set, the LEGO Bionicle 2015 sets and more!
