It’s April 1st, which means three things: 1) the LEGO Stores April 2014 Calendar of Promos, Sales and Events is now in effect; 2) It’s April Fool’s Day (don’t worry, I won’t prank anyone–I utterly detest this day); and 3) the May 2014 LEGO Store Calendar has now arrived! While there isn’t anything particularly shocking on the LEGO Stores May 2014 Calendar, it does confirm some things we had already surmised, including the release of the LEGO Star Wars Sandcrawler 75059 and the May the 4th LEGO Darth Revan minifigure promo…

This new LEGO Store Calendar is set for May, which is unofficially LEGO Star Wars month at the LEGO Stores, so it’s no surprise that the calendar of events is centered squarely on all sorts of LEGO Star Wars happenings! The big event of the month is of course the May the 4th Be With You celebration, taking place from May 3rd-5th at the LEGO Stores (both physical stores and online). It’s during this event that the long-awaited Ultimate Collector’s Series LEGO Star Wars Jawa Sandcrawler 75059 set will be put up for purchase for the very first time.

Of course, as exciting as the 2014 LEGO Star Wars Sandcrawler going up for sale is, the real main event of the month on the LEGO Store May 2014 Calendar is the official announcement of the 2014 LEGO Star Wars May the 4th minifigure promo giveaway: the first-ever LEGO Star Wars Darth Revan minifigure!

We spread the word about the leaked LEGO Darth Revan figure last week, and now we can confirm he’ll be available next month. You’ll have to spend $75 or more on LEGO Star Wars sets to obtain your own LEGO Darth Revan promo figure, but for folks like me picking up the new LEGO Sandcrawler, that’s not going to be an issue at all.

And in some non-Star Wars news, the LEGO Simpsons Minifigures Series blind bags will be officially available as of May 1, 2014! Will they leak into stores before the end of April anyway, though…? Stay tuned!

As usual, the back of the May 2014 LEGO Stores calendar lists off all of the various non-promo goings-on at the LEGO store for the month. The May 2014 LEGO Monthly Mini Model Build is a very cute LEGO dragon that I know I’m going to end up buying on the aftermarket (as LEGO Stores don’t let adults participate in the Monthly Mini Model Builds, tragically).

There’s also a LEGO Star Wars Droid Search and Find game going on in the stores in the second half of the month, which sounds like a ton of fun; as well as a chance to build a LEGO Star Wars Starship for the Dark Side or the Light Side and photograph it (no, you don’t get to keep it).

The only other thing that really caught my eye on this month’s calendar was the ad for Brick Slopes 2014 in Utah and BrickFair New England 2014 in New Hampshire! As I only live about a half an hour away from Manchester, I’ll definitely plan to swing by and take some photos and report on Brick Fair New England 2014 next month!
