June 2013 LEGO Store Calendar Free Jor-El Minifigure Promo & Events

While a lot of LEGO collectors may overlook it, the monthly LEGO Store calendars given out free at any LEGO Store almost always contain an invaluable wealth of information. Case in point is the June 2013 LEGO Store Calendar, which has just started being distributed in LEGO Stores over the last couple of days. Not only do we learn exactly when and how to get the LEGO Man of Steel Jor-El minifigure, but we also learn release dates for some Summer 2013 LEGO sets that are coming a little sooner than expected…

It’s only been about a week since we first heard about the fact that a LEGO Jor-El minifigure polybag existed, and thanks to the new June 2013 LEGO Calendar, we don’t have to speculate anymore about how to obtain Superman’s much-loved dad. LEGO collectors will have almost the entire months of June 2013 (6/1/2013-6/25/2013) to purchase $75 or more worth of the products from the LEGO Store and obtain the exclusive LEGO Jor-El figure absolutely free.

It’s worth noting that the products you buy to qualify for the free LEGO Superman Jor-El minifigure polybag promo can be anything in the store–they don’t have to be LEGO Man of Steel sets or even LEGO Super Heroes sets! And that’s a lucky thing, because the LEGO sets I’m aiming for in June 2013 won’t be superhero-related at all…

While initially we thought the release date for the upcoming revived LEGO Castle 2013 sets was going to be August 2013, it looks like LEGO is speeding ahead with the LEGO Castle theme a little sooner than we expected! According to the back of the LEGO Store June 2013 Calendar, the LEGO Castle King’s Castle 70404 (and presumably the rest of the LEGO Castle theme sets) will be seeing release in under a month!

But that’s not all–it looks like the LEGO Galaxy Squad Summer 2013 sets will also be rolling (or flying, depending on the set) into stores in June 2013! It’s been a little while since I previewed the entire Summer 2013 LEGO Galaxy Squad theme sets, so I almost forgot those were coming at all!Other notable events happening in LEGO Stores in June 2013 will include “Buy 2, Get 1 Free” Legends of Chima Speedorz sets from 6/1-6/15, Build a Hero Factory Hero from 6/10-6/28, and an exclusive LEGO Superman Mini Model Build on June 19th.
