One of the big mysteries about the LEGO Legends of Chima 2014 sets lineup has been when and where (and if) the LEGO Chima Frax’ Phoenix Flyer 30264 set would be available in the United States. While the set was released internationally in the summer, US LEGO fans have been one Phoenix Tribe minifigure short for months. But finally, Christmas has come–literally! The 30264 LEGO Frax’ Phoenix Flyer polybag has now been released in the stocking stuffer section at Target stores!

Well, it’s about time! I first posted about the LEGO Legends of Chima Frax’ Phoenix Flyer 30264 set way back in June 2014. The set’s European release was imminent at that time.

But while the United States LEGO Store gave away the LEGO Chima Worriz’ Fire Bike set not once but twice over the course of two months (and then it got released again at Target checkout lanes soon after that!), dear Frax of the Chima Phoenix Tribe never appeared.

I began to fear that my LEGO Legends of Chima minifigure collection would never be complete without ordering the Frax polybag from overseas, but thankfully, that’s no longer an issue: Target stores in the United States have finally begun stocking the LEGO 30264 polybag in the seasonal Christmas section (in the bins with the other stocking stuffers).

My closest Target had an empty spot yesterday with just the $3.99 price-tag, barcode and name on it to let me know that the 30264 LEGO Frax’ Phoenix Flyer set was forthcoming. It was rather frustrating to be so close and yet so far from the object of my Phoenix Tribe desires, so I decided that I would hit up Target every day until they finally stocked the Frax Phoenix Flyer LEGO Chima set.

I didn’t have long to wait, though–when I checked again this morning, I could spot a sea of orange polybags filling the display from halfway across the store. I rushed over to the stocking stuffer section and successfully claimed my prize. Once again, my LEGO Chima minifigures set is complete!

The LEGO 30264 Frax’s Phoenix Flyer set includes 32 pieces for $3.99, so it’s a reasonable deal at 12.5 cents per piece. I prefer to stick to 10 cents per piece, but alas–I’m willing to cut LEGO a bit of slack in this case, as the Frax minifigure is currently exclusively available only in this polybag set.
