At this point we’ve seen just about everything coming our way from TLG in January 2016–with one big exception that I plum forgot about! We learned the identities of the Minifigures that make up LEGO Minifigures Series 15 some weeks ago, but today we get to finally see them in the fl… er, plastic! From the Shark Guy to the Animal Control Unit with skunk and Farmer with spotted pig, the 71011 LEGO Series 15 Minifigures are full of awesome!

For those who don’t recall, the sixteen characters that make up LEGO Minifigures Series 15 are as follows:

• -Queen
• -Head of Animal Control (with skunk)
• -Jewel Thief Woman
• -Native American Woman (with Baby!)
• -Dancer
• -Steering Wheel Warrior
• -Satyr
• -Scary Knight
• -Wrestling Champion
• -Shark Costume Guy
• -Clumsy Man (with Injuries!)
• -Kendo Fighter
• -Astronaut
• -Laser robot
• -Custodian (Janitor)
• -Farmer (with spotted hog)

The images are a wee bit grainy, but seeing as how we are probably not supposed to be seeing them right now at all, it’s tough to complain!

It’s surprisingly difficult for me to choose my early favorites from the Collectable Minifigures Series 15 lineup! When we just had the names figures sounded kind of boring, but in the plastic, almost every one of the minifigs has some real appeal!I wasn’t sure what the “Faun” in the translated list of character was going to be, but it turns out to be a Satyr (half-man, half goat) minifigure with a flute! For those who think they’ve never heard of or seen a Satyr, well–you better go rewatch Disney’s Hercules animated movie, which features the most famous Satyr ever: Hero Train Phil!

If I had to–absolutely had to–pick three favorites, it would be the Jewel Thief (with Grappling Hook–look out Catwoman!), Shark Costume Guy (was there ever any doubt?) and Injured Man. I love that the Clumsy Man has a banana peel on his shirt and is covered in injuries! Hilarious! =D

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 71011 is expected to be released online and in stores on January 1st, 2016. Sometimes TLG is extremely strict about the release date for these Minifig Series and sometimes they are not, so whether or not we see some cases of these figures slipping out into the wild in time to be holiday stocking stuffers is anybody’s guess (although my guess is always “yes!”).
