Mega Bloks World of Warcraft Goblin Zeppelin Ambush 91014 Unboxing

The second most expensive and largest set in Season 1 of MEGA Brands’ Warcraft toys, I finally got some time today to free the World of Warcraft Mega Bloks Goblin Zeppelin Ambush 91014 from its cardboard prison.

I was planning on going outside today to enjoy some nice weather and construction time, but Mother Nature deemed me unfit and smote me with thunderstorms all day long. So for tonight, you’ll all have to settle for photos of the grand unboxing of the Goblin Zeppelin and… well, not much else.

With 10 individual plastic bags containing pieces and a giant, horizontally-bound instruction manual, it’s clear that assembling this Mega Bloks Goblin Zeppelin isn’t going to be the utter joke than the one minute building the Swift Wyvern was.

Parts List from Goblin Zeppelin Ambush Mega Bloks World of Warcraft SetYep. With 310 pieces, this is a real build that’s going to take a little while to complete. The World of Warcraft Mega Bloks sets I’ve built so far have been ludicrously simplistic, so hopefully this will kick things up a notch.

World of Warcraft Mega Bloks Fall 2012 Figures Complete ChecklistThe instruction booklet opens up calendar style, and inside you find a complete photo checklist of all of the figures in the Fall 2012 World of Warcraft Mega Bloks series! Looks like the Alliance has the Horde outnumbered… for now!

World of Warcraft Mega Bloks Secret Loot Bag 2012 from Goblin Zeppelin AmbushWhat’s this, a clue from the Riddler?

…No, not exactly. It’s actually the mystery Secret Loot bag, as advertised on the back of the package! See, apparently, all of the Mega Bloks World of Warcraft sets that are bigger than the Factions figures and small Mount/Vehicle sets are coming with one piece of Secret Loot. Each set’s piece of random Secret Loot is contained within a sealed, opaque, black mystery bag. It’s sort of like a blind-bag inside of a regular Mega Bloks set!

What’s in this particular Secret Loot bag, you ask? Sorry, that’s going to be the last piece of this set that I open, so even I won’t know what’s in the bag until the set is complete! Here’s an illustration from the instructions, though, that shows some of the possibilities:

Mega Bloks Warcraft Secret Loot Possible Mystery PiecesI don’t know about anyone else, but I really want that Judgment helmet!! Any avid World of Warcraft gamers want to chime in and leave a comment if they can identify any other specific pieces of armor or weapons in this illustration?

I’ve pushed all the pieces into one huge pile, the way I like to gather them up for the build. Now it’ll just be a few short hours of construction before the Goblin Zeppelin flies again for the first time!

Huge Pile of Pieces of World of Warcraft Mega Bloks Goblin Zeppelin AmbushI’ll be posting in-progress photos of the Goblin Zeppelin set being built tomorrow, so check back then and watch the magic happen as this pile of Mega Bloks begins to take shape into the (arguably) most iconic Warcraft vehicle of all!

    • I’ll get the Secret Loop reveal posted in the Goblin Zeppelin Review I’ll be posting Thursday afternoon. Be prepared to be underwhelmed, though! I know I was!

      • I am taking a wild guess it was the staff? that seems to be the most common at this point.

        • We got 3 sets, The Lich King, StormWind Assault, and Barren’s Chase. All of them came with the lame Red Demise mace. Each was purchased at seperate locations so I have to wonder if any of the cool armor is even available yet. It’s a lot of coin to be spending on sets to “randomly” get the exact same from each set.
