LEGO Big Bang Theory Set 21302 Revealed & Photos!

“BAZINGA!” No, that’s not me trying to be clever or trendy–that word actually comprises the literal sum totality of my knowledge about the TV sitcom “The Big Bang Theory”. Well… at least it almost does! I also know that fans of the show absolutely love it, and have been rabid for more details and information ever since the LEGO Big Bang Theory set was announced last year. And now, finally, the long-awaited moment has arrived: the LEGO The Big Bang Theory 21302 set has now been fully revealed!

21302 LEGO The Big Bang Theory Set Box

It’s been a long wait for photos and details regarding the LEGO Ideas #10 The Big Bang Theory set, but much like the Sith in Star Wars The Phantom Menace, finally, they have revealed themselves! As anticipated, the set’s buildable environment will indeed be Sheldon and Leonard’s living room, as seen in the TV show. Some of the buildable objects that I see present in the set include a telescope, a bookshelf (with books!), dry-erase boards, a rug, a table, a Chinese take-out box and more!

The 21302 LEGO Big Bang Theory set will be officially released on August 1st 2015 for a cost of $59.99 for 479 pieces. That’s not the single-greatest value that the brick world has ever seen at over 12.5 cents per piece, but I suppose it’s an acceptable price for a licensed set that includes a substantial seven minifigures.

The set will include seven minifigures, including Amy, Bernadette, and the five figures shown below:

LEGO Big Bang Theory 21302 Set LEGO Ideas 2015As you might have gathered from my opening comments, I am not any kind of sage about The Big Bang Theory. I vaguely know who Sheldon is (because I was so disappointed when I saw Flash TV shirts everywhere and learned that it wasn’t because everyone loves The Flash), but that’s about it.

So I’ll leave this one to you, Big Bang Theory fans! Sound off: How do you like the LEGO 21302 Big Bang Theory set? Do you think that LEGO has authentically captured the feeling and atmosphere of The Big Bang Theory case and environment, or are you disappointed in all of your TBBT pals in their brick forms?

  1. I will probably buy it, but it looks mostly pre made..there isn’t really much building to be done,

    • Not sure about the pre-made comment. It looks almost completely brick built to me.
I’m not going to buy it though – not a fan of the show.

    • I love the detail in this set! I’m a big fan of tbbt, so bought it right off. if you are a real fan, it’s a must have

  2. Just finished the Big Lego Ferris Wheel in about 7 hours. This piece is marvelous. I wish the folks who designed this masterpiece would be able to run for one of our government positions. They are really a genius mentality when it comes to designs.

  3. I’m on the fence on this one. I like the TV show, but this set seems a bit over-priced for what you get. Maybe if they would have included the kitchen and/or Sheldon’s and Leonard’s desks…..

  4. Wish Sheldon had the long legs like Woody from the Toy Story sets and Bernadette had short legs.
