LEGO Iron Spider Man & Miles Morales Minifigures Confirmed!

It’s hard for me to believe, but it’s almost been an entire year since I was in New York City for the the New York Toy Fair 2014! But while there’s less than a month until I head back to NYC for this year’s event, the fun has already started overseas!

The London Toy Fair 2015 took place this week, and the news is rolling in–including confirmation that the long-demanded LEGO Iron Spider Man and Ultimate Spider-Man Miles Morales minifigures are coming in LEGO Marvel sets this summer!

LEGO Winter Soldier Minifigure Polybag Revealed & Photos!

I really thought that the last couple weeks of the years would be quiet for LEGO news and I wouldn’t be missing anything taking a vacation, but it’s just not to be!

So I’m skipping my FastPass appointment for Snow White’s Mine Cart at Magic Kingdom to talk about the latest LEGO Marvel 2015 minifigure to be revealed: the Winter Soldier!

LEGO Marvel Summer 2015 Sets List! Carnage! Ant-Man!

I’m still on vacation in sunny Orlando (in fact, I’m planning on hitting up the Downtown Disney LEGO Store later tonight), but some news has leaked out that I just had to stop and take a few minutes to talk about. We won’t see the “winter” 2015 LEGO Marvel sets (based on Avengers Age of Ultron) hit stores for several months yet, but the list of LEGO Marvel Summer 2015 Sets has now been revealed: including the first-ever LEGO Carnage and Ant-Man minifigures!

Avengers LEGO Iron Man vs. Ultron 76029 2015 Set Preview!

Iron Man vs Ultron LEGO 76029 Set Avengers 2 2015

After months of shopping and preparations, we’ve finally reached Christmas Week 2015! LEGO news is ought to be pretty slow this week (at least, I hope so, because I’m actually going to be taking a few days off later this week for the holidays, crazy as that sounds). But before I go off the grid, there’s still several things left to chat about–including the last of the six main LEGO Avengers Age of Ultron sets! You might think that a battle pack with Iron Man as the central hero might be a shelfwarmer at this point, but the three army-builder Ultron minifigures included in the LEGO Iron Man vs. Ultron 76029 set say otherwise…

LEGO Avengers Hydra Fortress 76041 Set Photos Preview!

LEGO 76041 Burglary at the Hydra Fortress Set with Quicksilver Figure

We’re in the home stretch of our discussions of the Spring 2015 LEGO Avengers Age of Ultron sets, and today we’re looking at a set that gives us that not only gives us our first Marvel Cinematic Universe villainous hideout, but also a pair of highly desirable exclusive minifigures! If you want the LEGO Quicksilver and Baron Von Strucker minifigures, then in the spring you’ll be picking up the Avengers Age of Ultron LEGO Hydra Fortress 76041 set!

Avengers Age of Ultron LEGO Duel with Hydra 76030 Set!

Avengers Age of Ultron LEGO 76030 Duel with Hydra Set

Moving on from my discussions of the sets likely to be the most popular in the LEGO Avengers Age of Ultron theme, today I’ll be chatting about the set that I think will almost unquestionably be the least popular one of the half-dozen LEGO Marvel Age of Ultron sets coming out in April 2015. It contains no unique characters not available in any other set, and no vehicles that are likely to become iconic, but perhaps its low price will help it sell adequately anyway: it’s the LEGO Avengers Duel with Hydra 76030 set!

LEGO Avengers Tower Attack 76038 Set Photos Preview!

76038 LEGO Attack on Avengers Tower Set

The big news this week in the LEGO world is indisputably the surprise unveiling of the LEGO Avengers Age of Ultron sets that happened to kick off the week. Earlier this week I talked about the new 76032 LEGO Avengers Quinjet Chase set, containing the most iconic Marvel vehicle (that isn’t a Helicarrier).

And now it’s time to dig in once again and discuss the most iconic locale in the Marvel Cinematic Universe–formerly Stark Tower and now home to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes–it’s the LEGO Avengers Tower Attack 76038 set!

LEGO Avengers Quinjet Chase 76032 Set! Vision Minifigure!

LEGO 76032 Avengers Quinjet Chase Set Revealed

Last night I posted about the complete lineup of mass-release LEGO Marvel Avengers Age of Ultron sets, and now it’s time to step back and take a close look at the sets, one at a time!

Of the six sets, one of them could be considered a “rehash” (as it focuses on a vehicle that was released in LEGO form just a few years ago), but I’m going to consider it an “upgrade” instead–it’s the LEGO The Avengers Quinjet Chase 76032 set, with exclusive LEGO Vision minifigure!

LEGO Avengers Age of Ultron Sets Revealed & Photos!

LEGO Avengers 2 Sets Revealed

LEGO has done a superb job of keeping the LEGO Marvel 2015 sets under wraps, with basically zero images of any of the sets leaking out until now (no, the teaser they put in their LEGO Designer video for the LEGO Helicarrier absolutely does not count).

But the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie is now under half a year away, and it appears that the time for secrecy is at an end! Via their own German catalog, LEGO has now revealed a half-dozen 2015 LEGO Avengers Age of Ultron sets!

LEGO Marvel Rocket Raccoon Minifigure Polybag Review & Photos

LEGO Rocket Raccoon Polybag Review

The amount of Rocket Raccoon toys and collectibles available at retail this year is surreal to me. As a lifelong Rocket Raccoon fanboy, I never thought the day would come that any piece of Rocket Raccoon merch would show up in a retail store–much less dozens of Rocket Raccoon figures. But thanks to the success of Guardians of the Galaxy, Rocket Raccoon is now a star for eternity. And as such, he gets an honor previously reserved only for headliner Marvel characters like Thor and Iron Man–his own LEGO minifigure polybag! Is the LEGO Rocket Raccoon polybag worth your five bucks (or ten bucks if you’re buying Rocket online)?

LEGO Rocket Raccoon Minifigure Exclusive Released in the US!

Rocket Raccoon LEGO Marvel Minifigure Exclusive Polybag Set

The second most frequently-asked question I’ve gotten from LEGO fans this fall (after “When will the LEGO Frozen set be available?”) is “Will the LEGO Rocket Raccoon minifigure exclusive be available in the United States?” My answer has always been a reassuring “Hang tight; he’ll be here soon.”

At least, it has been up until now, as this week my answer has changed to: “Start hitting your local stores! The LEGO Marvel Rocket Raccoon minifigure has now been released in the United States!”

LEGO Rocket Raccoon Minifigure Polybag 5002145 Revealed!

LEGO Rocket Raccoon Polybag 5002145 Set

Way back in July, I was scandalized when LEGO decided to make the LEGO Rocket Raccoon Warbird set a SDCC 2014 exclusive. I wasn’t thrilled about it, but I ended up dropping $100+ for that SDCC 2014 LEGO Rocket Raccoon set so that I could have a complete Rocket Raccoon shrine (I’m not kidding). Now I somewhat regret that decision, because I overpaid by at least $95 to get that LEGO Rocket Raccoon minifigure–because a Toys R Us exclusive Rocket Raccoon polybag with the same Rocket has now turned up online!

SDCC 2014 LEGO Marvel Collector Minifigure Exclusive Revealed!

LEGO Marvel The Collector Minifigure SDCC 2014 Exclusive

LEGO has cut it awfully close to the wire this year in announcing their San Diego Comic Con 2014 exclusives, but with less than a week to go until the show begins, the SDCC 2014 LEGO exclusive products are finally being revealed!

I discussed the SDCC 2014 LEGO Rocket Raccoon Warbird set extensively on my Marvel toys blog yesterday, and today LEGO has spilled the beans about another Comic-Con exclusive: the LEGO The Collector minifigure! (Wait, who…?)

LEGO Marvel X-Men vs The Sentinel 76022 Summer 2014 Set Photos

LEGO Marvel X-Men vs The Sentinel 76022 Box

Of the four LEGO Marvel Summer 2014 sets that are on the way, only one of those sets isn’t based on the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. I tend to prefer LEGO Marvel comic-based sets to Marvel movie-based sets, so ordinarily I’d be pretty disappointed to just get a sole comics-based LEGO Marvel set to close out 2014. But when the one LEGO Marvel Summer 2014 set is X-Men focused, it’s tough to be disappointed! Coming in August 2014–the LEGO X-Men vs. The Sentinel 76022 set!
