But that’s not the most famous vehicle that the Imperials are bringing to the new movies–and one I’ll be talking about today looks far, far more like we remember it than the Snowspeeder does! Yesterday I started my previews of the LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens sets by taking a look at Poe’s X-Wing Starfighter 75102, and so it logically follows that today we should look ahead to the vehicle that (according to the catalog) is meant to combat that slick Halloween-colored Starfighter. This Star Wars Episode VII vehicle has a name that harkens back to the Original Trilogy, but you sure wouldn’t know it at a glance: it’s the LEGO First Order Snowspeeder 75100!

Rumors have been circulating for a while that there would be an exclusive LEGO Star Wars Episode VII polybag available during the Star Wars Force Friday event. We didn’t know what the supposed Star Wars Episode VII polybag minifigure would be at the time the rumors started, and we still don’t have confirmation of exactly what the details of the promo will be. But one thing we do know is who the first Episode VII minifigure to get his own polybag will be: it looks like an Episode VII C-3PO polybag promo is on the way!

I’m sure that there’s nothing that LEGO would have loved more than to blow all of our socks off by revealing some of the immensely-anticipated LEGO Star Wars Force Awakens sets at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim this weekend. Unfortunately, Disney’s worldwide embargo on revealing any merchandise for Star Wars Episode VII thwarted that possibility. After over a year of waiting and buildup, Star Wars Celebration Anaheim has come at last! While the event itself won’t begin for a couple hours yet (what with being on the west coast and all), I saved my his-res photos from New York Toy Fair 2015 of one more mass-release LEGO Star Wars Summer 2015 set for discussion while we wait! I’d like to say I saved the most exciting sets for last, but, well… it’s not. Even so, the LEGO 75091 Flash Speeder is the first time the vehicle has gotten an upgrade in a full 15 years!
